Jennifer Trefiak, a Cobourg born, now Colborne (Cramahe Township), Ontario based painter is a member of the Mississaugas of Alderville First Nation who brings a lifelong connection to nature to her paintings.
Jennifer travels to sacred places in Ontario where words cannot venture, to connect with the land, the trees, and the water. Working in acrylics and oils, her paintings are expressive and flow from an intuitive state of mind. Each painting becomes an object infused with nature’s messages, transporting you to moments of stillness, reflection, remembrance and gratitude. |
"Let the trees sing you their lullabies while the gentle lake waves rock you to sleep.
Let the turbulent crashing waves shake you up to recognize your quiet, shining spirit that can change the world.”
