This painting is not from my home but from a Collector's 'home away from home' - their cottage. I knew from the stories I was told that this place was magical in the summertime and a much needed respite to their busy lives. It was a place to unwind with friends and sip some wine while sitting at the lake. It's an honour for me to be entrusted with these stories and memories so that I can put that feeling into the canvas.
