This vista exists in Algonquin park at the pinnacle of a hiking trail. There are tall and ancient windswept pines which reminded me of the connection we have to our mothers. In exploring the theme of community I would be remiss if I did not pay homage to our mother's. They are the first community we form as newly born humans.
Mothers are protective and you can feel their love whether they are near or far. I like to think trees are the children of Mother Earth and have a similar relationship. Just as the trees are children of the earth - so are we. Remembering this will guide you in the choices you make to protect and honour her.
